Setting Up Your AirPort Base Station or Express

To allow seamless access to your Mac from the internet, you need to enable your AirPort's NAT Port Mapping Protocol.

  1. Open the AirPort Admin Utility by clicking the button in FarFinder's setup assistant. (If you are not in the setup assistant, you can find the AirPort Admin Utility in your Applications/Utilities folder.)
  2. Select your AirPort Base Station and click "Configure".
  3. Click on the "Base Station Options" button.

  4. Tick the "Enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol" checkbox, and press "OK".

  5. Click the "Update" button and quit the assistant. You're finished!
  6. Restart FarFinder.

Double NAT Error?

If Airport Utility tells you that you have a "Double NAT" error, you'll need to follow these instructions.
