Setting Up Your AirPort Base Station, AirPort Express or Time Capsule

You need to enable your AirPort's "NAT Port Mapping Protocol" setting before you can access your Mac.

Already done this?

If this setting is already enabled, try clicking FarSuite's Restart button. If you get the same message, contact support.

  1. Open AirPort Utility. It may already be open - look for it in your dock. Otherwise, it's in the Applications/Utilities folder.
  2. Select your AirPort Base Station.
  3. Click on the "Manual Setup" button:
    Airport Help
  4. Click on the "Internet" icon.
  5. Click on the NAT tab.
  6. Tick the "Enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol" checkbox:
    Airport Help
  7. Click the "Update" button and quit the assistant.
  8. Open the FarSuite settings window (click the FarSuite icon in your menu bar) and click the Restart button.

Double NAT Error?

If Airport Utility tells you that you have a "Double NAT" error, you'll need to follow these instructions.
